What does it take to stay motivated?

People often ask me how I stay motivated. I have to say that it is not easy. It’s a constant learning process and a commitment to be better for myself and my family. The first step was realizing that I was worth being better for. My family deserves the best version of me and I want to set a good example for my children. As mothers, we often feel guilt when we take time for ourselves. We have to remember that our happiness is important too. Our children are a reflection of us and if mama’s not happy….well you know the rest. I often quote Joyce Meyers in saying, “If you don’t love yourself, It’s impossible to love anyone else. You can’t give away what you don’t have.” Well, a big part of loving yourself is taking care of your physical, mental and spiritual needs. So think of getting healthy as a form of self-love. You’re worth it!
