ABOUT ME

Hello to all! Thanks for finding your way to my website. Here’s a little bit about me and my purpose. I grew up heavier than most girls my age. I was constantly comparing myself to others who I thought were prettier and skinnier. I was active but never went out for sports in high school. I lived my life in fear of others perceptions of me and didn’t believe that I was capable of much more. I was in a few unhealthy relationships after high school which led to the deterioration of what little confidence I had. I gave birth to my first child at 20 and went on to get my associates degree in Mental Health. My son gave my life a sense of purpose but I still had a lot of growing up to do. I got comfortable working for the state where I met my husband. I surrendered my life to Christ just 2 weeks prior to God opening up a clear path in my life. I saw a fork in the road and at that moment, I knew that I could never look back. God had big plans for me and I am so happy that I chose the right path.

From that moment on, I have been blessed beyond what I could have ever imagined. I became a Zumba instructor and found a desire to inspire others through dance. I married my husband in April of 2013 and found out we were pregnant with triplets just 10 weeks later! He always encouraged me to be my best self. He recognized my worth when I couldn’t see it. He told me that I would be in the best shape of my life after triplets but I didn’t believe him. I breastfed all three for a year. I was sure that this would help me lose the weight but I was wrong. My body held weight to nourish my babies, despite my efforts. I didn’t give up. I knew that if I could have triplets, I could do anything! I started setting small goals and after I accomplished one, I set a new one. I never looked back.

I stopped comparing myself to others and instead, started comparing myself to yesterday’s version of me. I never thought I could run. Now, I am a runner. I never thought I could do a lot of things but here I am, continuously striving to be better than I was yesterday. I am a full time mom of 4 who is working towards a bachelors degree in Organizational Leadership.  I am a 2x tough mudder who teaches fitness classes. I have to admit that my husband was right. I am in the best shape of my life after triplets!  One of my aspirations is to help other women to see their true potential. I want to shine my light and use dance and fitness to inspire mommies to move. If you have read this far, I want to encourage you to never give up. You’re worth more than you know so keep pushing forward and never look back. Lastly, you’ll see that this website isn’t all about me but rather how we can grow, learn and achieve our greatest goals together! Thanks for visiting and I believe in you!
